A Wee Bit About Us
This wee adventure began when my mother, Kyla opened her dream childcare centre - The Wee Leprechauns Childcare Centre and I partnered with her as Director/Supervisor & Registered Early Childhood Educator after obtaining my degree in Psychology, specializing in Play Therapy from the University of Edinburgh. Working together we developed a unique style of teaching young children through play, sensory and messy art based activities, where we embraced the mess and fun of learning :)
My vision of extending the 'embrace the mess' message began when thinking about artistic gaps in the community when I was unable to find art programs or fun drop-in activities for my children that were under the age of 6. These road blocks made it hard as a parent to help my children beyond daycare - whom shared my love for the arts and was used to getting messy as a way of expressing themselves, exploring, experimenting, playing and learning.
This is how Creative Wee Leprechauns was born by me, Georgina (HELLO!) supported by my mother and best friend, Kyla who is also a Director.
Enough about us and let's get onto the fun stuff... like Paint Throwing!
Our Vision
At Creative Wee Leprechauns, we encourage children and their parents to embrace the mess, spills and loud noises of children engaging and being creative with each other. The best thing about Creative Wee Leprechauns is that children are truly the centre of the studio and we encourage them to explore the areas that have been set up with various play materials, art supplies and sensory mediums. We have created a fun space where children can be children and where their creativity can blossom without limiting their experience to 1 hour, which is why our sessions range from 2-3 hours, per session.
